Each of my postseason opportunities has shown me more of what is possible as an umpire in Little League. The crew camaraderie and high-level learning that I’ve experienced during these weeks is off the charts, and I’ve come home each time with turbocharged motivation and new ideas to help our local umpires be the best that we can be. A Region or World Series assignment is an absolute gift!

—Jason Becker, D1 Umpire

Umpiring during the Little League postseason has introduced me to some great kids and outstanding umpires, coaches, and tournament staff, and has incentivized me to get better at my craft. I’ve been fortunate to umpire State tournaments throughout Washington as well as the West Region tournament for Seniors Baseball. I will cherish all of those experiences and I remain in touch with my West Region crew despite us being spread across the west coast.

—Jeff Kallstrom, D1 Umpire

I’ve been honored to represent my local league and District 1 at four post season tournaments. Each of them was a unique experience but all of them were fantastic. To umpire in the company of the best umpires in the West Region and the World gave me the chance to perfect my craft and measure myself against the best. They all required hard work but also provided unforgettable experiences off the field as well. I treasure those memories and friendships that I made during those events.
